Anyone who knows me much at all knows that I love music. It's a big part of who I am and what makes me happy. This weekend I got a chance to travel and sing with the band that leads worship at our church. We went up to Dorsey, Illinois and led worship for this weekend conference called OIKOS. It was a pretty cool ordeal, all in all. I had a good time. We played 4 sets throughout the weekend, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. When we weren't playing we were hanging out at one of the houses they let us stay in for the weekend, eating junk food, playing playstation, and watching movies. I really enjoyed myself, though I could have done without the 9 1/2 hour road trip in a van where I was either kept awake by teenage boys texting their girlfriends or being edged out of my seat by the large amount of stuff sliding down from its pile onto my head.
Totally confirms it for me, though. I need to sing more. I could totally see doing this as a lifestyle. Just not with the job I currently have! Today is crazy busy because I took off Friday to go to Illinois. I've been playing catch-up and ms. fix-it all day. I want to go to sleep! Fraid it's not gonna happen. :(

I agree that you need to be singing more. I love to hear you sing - you definitely have a great gift.
Oh, that sounds like fun!!! If you like the singing, you really should do it more! I sang with our choir and then the ensemble at Bible School and really did enjoy it...but you are right, long road trips aren't the most fun sometimes...
