Sunday Morning

I wasn't going to go to church today. I went to bed late last night, didn't sleep well, and decided when my alarm went off that I just wouldn't go. Then I woke up again... 15 minutes before church started. And I suddenly felt sad that I wasn't going to church. So I decided to do a quick get-ready and run off to church. The place were we meet is 15 minutes away, so I knew I would be late, but wanted to be as close to on-time as possible. Clothing? Check. I had been wanting to wear my cute fall dress for awhile. I threw it on over the shirt I had slept in the night before (and had worn all day yesterday... whatever, it's an undershirt! Hair? Eh, it'll do. It actually looked fairly decent, minus the flakies camping out, threatening to expose themselves every time I moved a strand. Typical hygiene easily taken care of and flip flops thrown on (I have really cute boots to wear with this dress, but I don't know where they are). Out the door in 10 minutes! Only 10 minutes late to church!

And wouldn't you know, at least 3 or 4 people complimented me on my attire today! How strange is it that when you spend the least amount of time on your looks, people think you look the best? I wonder if I should neglect my appearance more often. Apparently it looks good on me! :)
