Back to More Pensiveness

I came up to El Oasis early today to get some time with Jesus. When I was writing and praying, it was very misty and cloudy up there. I knew the mountains were off in the distance, but it was the first time I couldn{t see them.

I guess mountains can represent a lot of things in life - trials to overcome that are on the horizon or blessings of intimacy God is bringing our way. Either way, I want to see them.

Sometimes I find myself focusing so hard on the mountains I can´t see that I miss out on the trees, houses, birds, and animals that I can see. The view here is breathtaking, with or without the mountains.

What lies ahead should not eclipse what we have here and now, espeically if it cannot be seen. I have no idea what my future holds, and that´s OK. It has to be OK, because if I fix my prayers and thoughts on determining the future, I will miss out on the beautiful view from where I am.

"God, I can´t see the mountains," I complained. "You can see Me. That´s enough," He replied.

Luke 12:22-32 "...Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father´s good pleasure to give you the kingdom."
