So I thought I'd take a break from the serious and give you general updates about boot camp life. Things are very different here. We have a very detailed schedule, which we keep to. There isn't much free time, but if we do get a little time to ourselves, we are usually reading or sleeping (two most common hobbies here).
This afternoon, instead of chore time and free time, all of the women loaded up on a bus and drove to a woman's house that needed some yard work done. She had a fence that was falling apart, so we tore it down for her so she could put another one back up. I got to use a crowbar! I also broke a hammer (oops!). It was nice getting out into the world (sometimes we feel a little separated from reality out here) and actually helping people.
We did water PT today, so instead of running a lot, we did some more creative things - relays, circuits, swimming, treading water. It was the closest to fun I've had in PT yet! Yesterday we did a race around the campus with different stations to stop at and tasks to complete. I think we're going to do that again tomorrow. It was ok. Not too much fun, but more fun than what we usually do.
I bought a guitar! I'm pretty excited about it. It's red. Really red. Not just like cherry wood, but RED.
Our group has been surprisingly healthy. I really thought that there would be a lot more sickness, but maybe because we're working out so much and drinking so much water, no one has really been sick yet. Yay!
Keep praying and sending letters. Mail makes me VERY happy!!
